*HOBOKEN, NJ / ACCESSWIRE / May 17, 2021 /* For over 100 years, Sims Pump Valve Company, Inc. has been a leader in pump technology. Sims Pump, manufactures engineered pumps, impellers, casing rings, sleeves, bearings, bushings, valves, mechanical seals and more, which are machined from their patented SIMSITE® Structural Composite. Offering innovative solutions for customers, Sims Pump specializes in solving balance, cavitation, corrosion, electrolysis, erosion, and radial thrust problems. Sims Pump's primary customer base consists primarily of customers who are pumping corrosive products, including the Navy, Marine, Offshore, Chemical, Power Generation, Wastewater, and Industrial markets.

Metallic products corrode very quickly in wastewater. Many wastewater impellers are large, and very heavy. As they wear and corrode, they become unbalanced which causes premature pump failure. This is especially true with "overhung" impellers. SIMSITE® Pumps, Impellers, and Pump Internal Upgrades *DO NOT Corrode* in Sewage, or Wastewater, and they also do not corrode in Sodium Hypochlorite!

SIMSITE® Impellers & Rings are *85% Less Weight* than metal, perfectly balanced (both mechanically and hydraulically) and they remain balanced for the life of the impeller. Because SIMSITE® Impellers are machined from solid blocks of the patented SIMSITE® Structural composite from one center position they do not have to be balanced. This perfect balance combined with the light weight of the SIMSITE® Structural composite reduces shaft deflection, vibration, bearing loads and start up torque. Structural engineered composites, like SIMSITE® produce the highest mechanical properties and the greatest reliability.

Often customers complain about mechanical seal, bearing, and motor failures. What most customers do not realize is that they do not have a mechanical seal, bearing, or a motor problem; rather, they have a hydraulics problems caused by clogging, mechanical imbalance, hydraulic imbalance, radial thrust imbalance, or improper design, repair, or manufacture of the impeller.

Existing metallic centrifugal pumps can be upgraded, and even modified for difficult services by re-engineering the impellers utilizing state-of-the-art, computerized design manufacturing techniques, and upgrading their pumps with SIMSITE® Structural Composite Impellers & Rings.

Any centrifugal pump can be upgraded by using SIMSITE® Structural Composites. Wastewater handling capability can then be greatly improved by using SIMSITE® Structural Composite Impellers which are designed for non-clogging capabilities.

As a result of the many benefits of SIMSITE® Structural Composite Products, all Wastewater Pumps *Last Much Longer!*
