Hurricane Irma takes aim at central Florida, leaves trail of destruction
Monday, 11 September 2017 Hurricane Irma took aim at heavily populated areas of central Florida as it carved a path of destruction through the state with high winds and storm surges that left millions without power, ripped roofs off homes and flooded city streets.
Hurricane Irma is taking aim at north Florida. The deadly storm has lashed nearly every part of the state. There are now almost six million homes and businesses across the state without electricity. Jeff Glor reports from St. Pete Beach.
