3 win Nobel Prize for Hepatitis C virus discovery

Two Americans and one British-born scientist won the Nobel Prize for medicine 2020 on Monday for the discovery of the Hepatitis C virus. The laureates are Americans Harvey Alter and Charles Rice together with Briton Michael Houghton. The three were honoured for their decisive contribution to the fight against blood-borne hepatitis, a major global health problem.
