A new report today indicates that Apple is planning to launch a 120Hz iPhone this year, and unsurprisingly, Samsung will be the company building this piece of hardware. Korean site The Elec claims the iPhone 13 Pro models (both the standard and the Pro Max) would come with 120Hz screens manufactured by Samsung Display, with no other supplier currently involved in the talks. For now, it’s believed the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini would stick with screens similar to the ones on the current models, so only the Pro models would make the switch to 120Hz.
