Ed Sheeran made the most delightful cameo in the Game of Thrones season 7 premiere
Monday, 17 July 2017 British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran appeared in the Game of Thrones season-seven premiere in a hilariously random cameo, singing a folksy tune. He plays a soldier from King’s Landing, part of a small group in transit in the woods. The lyrics are from a song that appears in George R.R. Martin’s source material, the Song of Ice and Fire books: “For hands of gold are always cold, but a woman's hands are warm.”
Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) is attracted by the sound and ends up sharing a meal and some homemade wine with the friendly men, including Sheeran. They chat innocently with her, not knowing her identity, nor believing her when she says she’s heading to King’s Landing to kill Queen Cersei Lannister.
