Microsoft Buys iPhone and Android App That Creates Live PhotosMicrosoft has just announced that it purchased Swing Technology, the company behind iOS and Android app SWNG enabling live photos on mobile devices. The software giant says that both the technology and the employees currently working at Swing will all switch to Microsoft’s Skype team, which means that features currently available in the mobile app could soon become available as part of the Skype messaging and calling app. “The Swing team’s deep expertise in imaging technology will help us deliver great new features and capabilities for Skype,” said Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President for Skype, Amritansh Raghav. “They have an impressive track record of delivering great user experiences and brand design around the technology they develop.
