ABC’s Dowd Insists Democratic Party ‘Closer to the Center’ Than Is the GOP Monday, 18 March 2019
ABC News political analyst Matthew Dowd insisted, on Sunday’s This Week, that “if you look at all the issues and where the public stands, the Democratic Party is actually closer to the center than the Republican Party is.” He added for emphasis that the party “is much closer to the center.” Dowd’s counter-argument came after Republican strategist Alice Stewart pointed how Democrats are “moving very far to the left.”
