Marine and NYC firefighter killed in Afghanistan remembered by widow and colleagues
Thursday, 25 April 2019 The widow of a decorated New York City firefighter, killed while serving in Afghanistan, is speaking out for the first time since his death. Staff Sgt. Christopher Slutman was one of three Marines killed by a Taliban bomb this month. "CBS Evening News" anchor Jeff Glor spoke with Slutman's widow and two men who fought fires with him.
Marine Staff Sgt. and FDNY Firefighter Christopher Slutman, 43, was killed in the line of duty when a roadside bomb went off earlier this month in Afghanistan. CBS2's Jenna DeAngelis has more on today's funeral.
