Powerful winter storm pummels parts of New York

Strong winds and heavy snow lowered visibility to nearly zero in parts of upstate New York as a powerful winter storm barreled across the Northeast on Thursday. The blizzard conditions threaten to bring temperatures down as much as 15 degrees below average in some areas.
