Health officials believe Washington state will hit its COVID-19 outbreak peak in about three weeks. Kath Lofy, the state's health officer, expects the highest number of coronavirus cases in Washington state to occur around April 19. "We know the more people we test the higher the numbers will be," Lofy said. Lofy said the peak-estimate is based on new modeling done by the University of Washington Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluations.
