Investigators trying to figure out what caused United Airlines plane’s engine to explode, scatter debris across Broomfield

Federal investigators are looking into what caused an uncontained, catastrophic engine failure on United Airlines flight 328 bound for Honolulu, Hawaii, that left Denver a half-hour late on Saturday and proceeded to drop large chunks of debris on Broomfield before landing safely back at Denver International Airport.
