'We Can't Make America Great Again – Because I Already Did That' – Trump Sets Out His Vision for 2020by

You have to hand it to US President Donald Trump – the controversial businessman-turned-TV star-turned-Commander in Chief certainly believes in his own abilities, as do millions of his fervent followers – though his time in the top job so far has been met with scorn and derision from both sides of the political coin in just over a year in the job. Trump has seen many of his original team of White House staffers leave their posts by one route or another – and his premiership has thus far been dogged by both a scandal continuing to unfold with regard to alleged Russian collusion in his election in 2016 as well as the publication of the controversial book Fire and Fury. This book – which went on to be a colossal seller – supposedly unearths many secrets behind the scenes at the White House – and it eventually led to Trump’s right-hand man, Breitbart’s Steve Bannon, to leave his post.

Onto future matters, however, as while the world mulls over the ‘will-they-won’t-they’ saga with regard to whether or not Trump will meet with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, The Donald has set out his stall for re-election in 2020 – far ahead of the Democrats putting forward their own candidate. Ask anyone online who they’d like to go toe-to-toe with Trump and you’d get answers ranging from Oprah Winfrey to Dwayne Johnson – but for now, focus is on what Trump aims to do in two years’ time.

Advising a Pennsylvania rally, Trump revealed that his slogan for re-election will be ‘Keep America Great’. “We can’t say Make America Great Again – because I already said that,” the President confidently stated. “So our new slogan – this is on the assumption it happens, you can never be 100 per cent sure – is going to be Keep America Great – exclamation point.” Certainly, Trump’s words invigorated his following crowd – meaning that he could well be onto a winner with his existing fans.

However, even some fans of Trump have fallen off the wagon – with the country remaining divided on quite how successful the President has been at making the US great. Media speculation and supposed exposes aside, this has so far been a very interesting Presidential run – to say the very least – meaning we’ll have to keep a close eye on what the ex-Apprentice figurehead does in the years leading up to his next campaign.
