Coast Guard raced bad weather to save Alaska plane crash survivors
Wednesday, 11 July 2018 The Coast Guard raced bad weather to rescue all 11 injured survivors from a plane crash in a remote and rugged part of Alaska. The sightseeing plane went down about 40 miles southwest of its destination. Kris Van Cleave reports.
It appears there were no fatalities when a plane carrying 11 people crashed in a mountainous region of Alaska. A Coast Guard helicopter had to battle poor weather and limited visibility to help those on board. CBS News transportation correspondent Kris Van Cleave reports.
