'Yellow Vest' protests: French govt replaces Paris police chief after weekend violence
Monday, 18 March 2019 The French government said Monday it would replace the under-fire head of police in Paris following another weekend of riots that saw shops and restaurants torched and looted on the Champs-Elysées.
French unions took to the streets on Tuesday to protest against President Macron's economic policies. As Francis Maguire reports, the demonstrations ramp up pressure on Macron who is also dealing after 'yellow vest' protests turned violent at the weekend.
