Climate change protesters threaten to block central London roads
Monday, 15 April 2019 () Environmental protesters are planning to paralyze parts of central London over the next few days by blocking some of the city's busiest streets in a bid to force the government to do more to tackle climate change.
Climate protesters have climbed on top of a train in a busy financial district and glued themselves to the roof. Two Extinction Rebellion demonstrators clambered aboard the carriage of a Docklands Light Railway (DLR) at Canary Wharf station in east London.
Scotland Yard has warned environmental protesters will face a "robust response" if they target Heathrow Airport, ruining families' Easter holiday breaks. The force said it has "strong plans" in place..
