Brazil Supreme Court chief says money laundering unit overreached
Friday, 13 September 2019 The Brazilian body that monitors money laundering overreached by acting without judicial approval when it uncovered suspicious deposits in the account of the son of President Jair Bolsonaro, the head of the country's Supreme Court told Reuters.
Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro on Tuesday angrily denied the existence of surging fires in the Amazon rainforest, calling it a "lie," despite data produced by his own government showing that thousands of fires are surging across the region. Gavino Garay reports.
