Japan foreign minister expresses concern over global economy from attacks on Saudi
Monday, 16 September 2019 Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi said on Monday that he agreed with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that the global economy would be affected if the attacks on Saudi oil facilities destabilize the situation in the Middle East.
Oil prices tumbled about 6% on Tuesday after Saudi Arabia’s energy minister said the country has managed to restore oil supplies to where they stood before weekend attacks on its facilities shut 5% of global oil output. Conway G. Gittens has the details.
