China suspends review of request for U.S. military ships, aircraft visiting Hong Kong
Monday, 2 December 2019 () China's Foreign Ministry said on Monday it has suspended the review of requests by U.S. military ships and aircraft to visit Hong Kong in response to legislation passed by U.S. lawmakers in support of protesters in the China-ruled territory.
Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam denounced U.S. legislation protecting human rights in the embattled city after it was passed last week. That comes after a ban by Beijing against U.S. military from visiting the city. Jayson Albano reports.
