Death toll in Texas human-smuggling tragedy rises to 53

The number of dead rose to 53 on Wednesday in what is believed to be the nation's deadliest smuggling episode near the U.S.-Mexico border. Identifying the dead, many who lacked ID or who come from remote villages, is a "sad, difficult process," a Texas official said.
