A century after the March on Rome that brought Benito Mussolini to power, a symbol of fascism still stands in the northern Italian city of Bolzano. But rather than tear down the Monument to Victory, the city has provided an effective model of how to "neutralize" a central fascist monument and end its attraction to the nationalist far right.
