One of the most iconic teen stars of the 80s, Corey Feldman, may not have been scoring the blockbuster hits that he used to in recent years, but he has hardly been away from the forefront of entertainment news. A long-term critic of the Hollywood ‘machine’ in one particular way, his claims that a supposed pedophile ring exists in Tinseltown has, invariably, been dismissed by some as conjecture and conspiracy theory at best – however, thanks to emerging claims regarding abuse in Hollywood, largely thanks to the rise in claims made against former movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, it appears that Feldman may finally have more than enough of a platform to stand on – as opposed to his soapbox.
Feldman has made claims regarding alleged pedophilia in Hollywood for considerable years now but has not made it clear whom he may be referring to. However, he has recently publicly named one such person he alleges to have been sexually abused by over 30 years ago via TV interview. During a recent appearance on the Dr Oz Show, Feldman publicly claimed that Jon Grissom – known for many appearances in various films during the era – had abused him when he was a minor ▶ of around 13 or 14 years of age. Feldman then took to reporting the allegation to Los Angeles police on air via the programme, in the hope that his claims would be taken seriously be law enforcement. “He still taunts it, flaunts it,” claims Feldman of Grissom – claiming that he had previously talked of such abuse by using pseudonyms for his alleged attackers in his autobiography, Coreyography.
Feldman is still keen to publicize what he states to be the truth about the Hollywood underbelly, and with allegations and concerns raising about various big stars such as Kevin Spacey and Dustin Hoffman in recent days – as well as those stacking up against Harvey Weinstein – it is entirely possible that his claims may finally reach a wider audience. He is looking to fund a film of his life which he hopes to use to help reveal the truths he claims he has been hiding via Indiegogo – with $198,984 already raised as part of a $10 million goal he has set online.
Where will the allegations end – and will those seeking justice get the results they hope for? It is worth keeping your ear to the ground – as this is emerging one of the most shocking exposes to have taken place in Tinseltown, period.
