It was a holiday on Wednesday for the Burn Center at Hennepin County Medical Center.

Several firefighters came together as part of the "Firefighters for Healing" organization.

Retired Firefighter, Jake Laferriere, founded the organization in 2010, after he was also a victim in the burn unit.

He experienced severe burns after he tried to fight a house fire in Minneapolis.

But he said he wanted to turn his pain into something positive..
