FOIA Requests Shows DoD Spent Over $100,00 at Trump Properties
According to records obtained through a FOIA request, the Defense Department spent over $100,000 at eight businesses owned by President Donald Trump during his first six months in office.
Filed by Property of the People, the records were obtained after the group sued the Department of Defense.
They initially filed a Freedom of Information Act request for the records last June, but the DoD did not promptly respond to their request.
The lawsuit specifically sought records from Pentagon’s Defense Travel Management Office mentioning Trump properties.
