Badgers begin spring football

spring football begins for the badgers today.. the first of 15 practices starts at 8 o'clock this morning at the mcclain indoor facility... quarterback alex hornibrook was one of the most notable players taking part in the first workout.. but listed at "out for the spring"- quintez cephus, michael dieter, jon dietzen and d'cota dixon-- all with an assortment of leg and shoulder injuries.. paul chryst says spring football means different things to different people on the roster. ((( "paul chryst: you want to make sure everyone takes advantage of this time, right... and for jon and michael, it's getting healthy, and quintez would be the same. and it opens up more reps for younger guys and i think that's why we as coaches enjoy spring so much because you get a chance to get a lot of work done. and any time those young guys can learn, you grow from those reps and it's really good for your team.

")))
