Liverpool, Chelsea managers hope for Sir Alex Ferguson recovery

London (England), May 07 (ANI): Football Club Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and Chelsea manager Antonio Conte both wished Sir Alex Ferguson well after the former Manchester United manager was taken ill.

“I met Sir Alex after the first leg against Rome, he passed my together with Gerard and I had a few words with him and when I heard it then yesterday on the way to London I really then couldn't believe it that something like that could happen.

But it can happen to all of us obviously so obviously he was last night and will be in my prayers 100 percent and I wish him and his family all of the best.

He will be in good shape again I am 100 percent sure and I'm looking forward to seeing him again,” said Klopp.

“When happen this kind of situation I am very sad.

I have had the possibility to know him and his wife and understand that this is a special person.

He's not a normal person or a manager that he won many, many titles in his career.

I think a lot of the man and yesterday I must be honest this news changed my day in a bad way, in a bad way because... but we hope to see him quickly and to have our best wishes to recover very soon, very soon in this way.

Now it's very difficult, it's very difficult and we want to stay very close also his family,” said Conte.

Manchester United manager is seriously ill in hospital and has undergone surgery on Saturday night.

Manchester United club released a statement confirming that its former manager was rushed to hospital with a brain haemorrhage and that his procedure went “very well” but he is in intensive care as part of his recovery.
