You've Been Warned! AAA Projects Record Travel For July 4th
The Fourth of July is the biggest celebration in America, but I doubt it’s going to be a party on the roadways.
????Well, maybe a block party, because traffic could be at a standstill across the country. ????According to a new travel report from AAA, 46.9 million Americans plan to go 50 miles or more from home for the 4th of July holiday, a record travel year, and the highest number since they started tracking nearly 20 years ago. ????That’s a 5% increase from last year.????Breaking down the numbers even further, most people will be traveling by car. ????Try 39.7 million.????Experts say the absolute worst day to hit the road will be the day before the fireworks go off, Tuesday July 3rd.????Drivers are urged to avoid peak travel times, use alternative routes, and expect delays.????Those flying won’t have it any easier.
We are talking about 3.8 million of you.????Because tickets are so cheap, I’m talking the lowest Independence Day fares in five years an average of $171 for a round-trip ticket, expect a lot of congestion at the airport.????All of that traffic could have you seeing red, maybe white and even blue!
