“Please don’t touch the macaroons.’ “Alexa, what’s a macaroon?”????If you need more where that came from, just ask Amazon’s virtual assistant to get you groceries from Whole Foods Market.????Prime Now shoppers can order groceries using voice commands through Amazon’s Alexa-enabled smart speakers for same day delivery, according to Moneyish.????To use the feature, Amazon Prime members have to ask Alexa to add items to their Whole Foods cart.????Items automatically update within the Prime Now smartphone app, and yes, Alexa verbally confirms each order so there aren’t any screwups.????When you’re done, you can review your order, choose a two-hour delivery window and pay according to CookingLight Magazine.????The magazine adds Alexa is smart enough to understand very specific items.????But an Amazon spokesperson tells VentureBeat if you say something generic like “cereal”, Alexa will choose one for you based on your order history and buying habits of others.????Prime Now is available in 24 markets nationwide and assures two-hour same-day delivery according to VentureBeat.????If you’re planning on leaving the house, Amazon just announced curbside pickup at Whole Foods.????Just place an order through the Prime Now app and pickup in as little as 30 minutes, according to TechCrunch.????Reuters says the service is available at stores in Sacramento and Virginia Beach, but they’re got plans to add more cities through the year.????Now the only lines you have to fight are the ones in the parking lot.????Good thing customers picking up will have designated parking spots at stores!
