(SOUNDBITE)(English) MAN CHARGED WITH DESTROYING DONALD TRUMP'S HOLLYWOOD WALK STAR, AUSTIN CLAY, SAYING: "I don't personally think that there should be any charges brought against me because what I did I believe was a rightful and just act and I think that the repercussions of it were only positive and I only wanted to bring about positive political change." Clay's lawyer says they don't dispute that it happened… but says his client was engaged civil disobedience for political reasons… And he's not the only one to take issue with the President's Hollywood star.

It's been vandalized numerous times… and 24 year-old Clay is the second man to destroy it with heavy tools… but each time it's been repaired.

Trump's star was added in 2007 in recognition of his television work prior to his entry into politics - including his hosting "The Apprentice" and producing the Miss Universe beauty pageants.

BUT after he announced his presidential run in 2015, it's been a gathering place for anti-Trump protesters.

Clay is scheduled to appear in court again on September 21st.
