Hurricane Willa Leaves Road Flooded in San Blas, Mexico
Hurricane Willa caused flooding in San Blas, Mexico, on Wednesday, October 24, after making landfall the night before.
San Blas, in the state of Nayarit, was among the towns affected by the storm, Mexico News Daily reported.
Some residents were forced to evacuate their homes, according to local news channel CityTV21.2.
Nayarit was one of five Mexican states under a blue storm alert issued by Mexico’s National System of Civil Protection (SINAPROC), El Universal reported.
By Wednesday, the storm had weakened to a tropical depression as it moved northeast over west-central Mexico, according to a tweet from the NOAA National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service.
