Indonesian Search Team Recover Remains and Belongings of Lion Air Crash Victims

Indonesian rescue workers continued to scour the Java Sea to recover the remains of the victims of Lion Air Flight 610 that plunged into the the water shortly after takeoff on Monday, October 29.The Boeing 737 MAX aircraft departed Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta airport en route to Pangkal Pinang, carrying a total of 189 people before it lost contact.

Rescue workers have found aircraft debris, passengers’ belongings and remains in an area of sea northeast of Jakarta.All of the Flight JT610 passengers and crew members were presumed dead.

“It would be a miracle if anyone is alive,” said Yusuf Latif, spokesman of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas).These videos show scenes from the recovery operations and rescue workers with the remains of victims and their belongings.
