I get to help people out.

I really enjoy working outdoors."he's one of many who calls the hutton settlement home.37:07:11 (4)"being here has definitely shaped my life.

It's changed me a lot as a person."

He came to hutton -- a place for abandoned and traumatized kids --nine years ago, as a young boy who was abused by his dad -- then by his foster parent.36:34:14 (12) "my father was on drugs, so he used to abuse my brother and i.

And my mother had multiple sclerosis so i barely ever knew her but she couldn't take care of us."ever since he's been here ever since he's been here though, he says been here though, he says it's been non- stop growth.39:33:14 (10)"kids come here, just like gavin, they're scared, they don't trust anybody because of their situations.

They really are fearful."but the kids start to open up when they go through leadership and recreation programs --and help run hutton's annual christmas tree farm fundraiser.39:09:08 (5) "'inspiring' is not even the right word, but it's incredible to watch the kids grow up out here."and with your help -- the hutton settlement can build on their programs -- to foster even more growth here.37:12:14 (8) "i don't know where i would be without the hutton settlement.

They've helped me go through a lot of problems in my life.

They've helped me grow up."

All it takes -- is something many of us do every year: buying a christmas tree.

56:36:17 (19)"now if you haven't found your perfect tree and you're interested in helping kids like gavin, the hutton settlement christmas tree farm is open from noon to 6 monday through friday.
