PETA Slammed for Comparing 'Anti-Animal' Phrases to Racism & Homophobia

Animal rights group PETA has added another No No to their fight against animal cruelty????According to PETA, the common saying “Bringing Home The Bacon,” which is used to describe earning money is one of many that promotes violence against animals and shouldn’t be used.

????In a tweet, PETA wrote “ Words matter, and as our understanding of social justice evolves, our language evolves along with it.

Here’s how to remove speciesism from your daily conversations.????Attached to the tweet was a chart of filled with phrases that the organization labeled as “Anti Animal Language” along with suggestions for replacements.

??????For example, instead of saying “Bring home the bacon,” PETA suggests saying “Bring home the bagels.

??????PETA further tweeted that the same way in which racist, homophobic, or ableist language is unacceptable, people should get rid of phrases that suggests animal cruelty.

????The posts have been met with some angry reactions with even some vegans calling PETA’s demands pointless.
