Floodwater Surges Down California's Temescal Valley Following Heavy Rainfall

Mud and debris from the Holy Fire’s burn scars swept through Temescal Valley on Thursday, December 6, as a powerful winter storm brought torrential rain to southern California.

Zachary Lopez captured footage of mud, debris and water roaring down Temescal Canyon Road, swamping cars.

My Valley News reported mandatory evacuations orders were issued to residents of Temescal Valley and Lake Elsinore after heavy rain raised the risk of flooding and mudslides from hillsides stripped bare by August’s Holy Fire.
