Report: Trump's Chief Of Staff John Kelly Expected To Resign Within Days
CNN reports John Kelly is expected to resign within days.
White House Chief of Staff John Kelly is reportedly expected to resign in the coming days. CNN reports, citing inside sources, that his relationship with President Trump has deteriorated to the point where the two are no longer on speaking terms. Kelly had previously indicated that, at the president's request, he will be staying on until 2020. According to CNN, a replacement for Kelly is actively being considered by the president, with Mike Pence's chief of staff, Nick Ayers, emerging as the top candidate. In fact, the Wall Street Journal reported about a month ago that "Mr. Trump referred to Mr. Ayers in the present tense as his chief of staff."
