????((VO-People at Doctors))??There is just over one week left to take part in Obamacare for 2019 and according to The Washington Post, experts say the final numbers may be even lower at the end of the enrollment period.????((VO-Doctors Office/Money))??There may be several reasons for this year’s decrease in enrollment.
The New York Times notes that Congress eliminated the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate earlier this year - a tax penalty for people who neglected to get health insurance.
People may be opting out of health coverage now that they will no longer be fined.????((VO-People Working))??The Times also likens the drop in enrollment due to the fact that more Americans are employed, meaning they’re covered by their employers.????????
