Kathie Lee Gifford has announced she’s stepping down from her role co-anchoring the fourth hour of the TODAY show after more than a decade.??An emotional Gifford shared the “bittersweet” news Tuesday…????Noting she’ll stay on through April 7th, 2019 — which marks her 11th anniversary on the show.????Her co-host, Hoda Kotb also teared up while discussing Gifford’s exit.????But it wasn’t all tears… after someone on the crew deployed the tissues, Gifford made a crack about how the two seemed to be the only ones crying…????NBC News chief Noah Oppenheim confirmed Gifford’s exit in a staff memo.????According to the Hollywood Reporter, it noted, in part: “We will have much more to share before then about our plans for that hour, which will, of course, continue to include Hoda [Kotb]," said Oppenheim.????Gifford also compared her latest exit to the moment she left Live with Regis and Kathie Lee… noting:????“When I left Regis it was hard, but I’m closer to him now then we were after 15 years together.
