Reuters reported that President Donald Trump announced that his budget chief, Mick Mulvaney, will take over as White House chief of staff on a temporary basis.

Trump made the announcement on Twitter, writing, “Mick has done an outstanding job while in the administration.” Mulvaney will take over from John Kelly when he steps down from the job in early January.

He'll be the third man in Trump’s two years in office to take on what's considered one of the most important jobs in the West Wing.
