Sausage Products Recalled Due to Metal in Meat

Tens of thousands of pounds of sausage have been recalled after customers reported finding metal pieces inside them.

Zeigler Co., Inc.

Recalled more than 11,000 pounds of its ready-to-eat poultry and meat sausage products.

The recall includes 24-ounce packages that contain approximately nine links of Red Hots or Extra Hot Red Hots and have a use-by date of Jan.

Earlier this month , Jimmy Dean faced a similar problem with one of its sausage products.

The company recalled more than 29,000 pounds of its Heat 'n Serve Original Sausage Links after consumers said they found metal in the meat.

So far, no injuries or illnesses have been reported in connection to any of these products.
