Report: A New Fully-Electric Cadillac May Rival Tesla

In a new move by General Motors, Cadillac is reportedly planning to introduce a fully electric model to challenge Tesla.????Sources tell Reuters that Cadillac is expected to become GM’s lead electric vehicle brand.????As part of an investor update, the company is set to announce the first vehicle based on the planned BEV3 platform.

However, they aren’t expected to say when the Cadillac EV will be built.

??????This isn’t the first time Cadillac has released a plug-in electric car.

They released two hybrids, the ELR and the CT6, but Fox reports both cars didn’t sell well and were eventually discontinued.????GM recently said they will be doubling resources for electric and autonomous vehicle programs over the next two years.??????Fox News reports Tesla, Jaguar, Audi and Mercedes Benz are all planning on releasing all-electric models soon.??
