Tonight's top game needs little introduction.

A top-five in the state boys basketball showdown between la crosse central and onalaska.

They are the final two unbeaten in the m-v-c standings.

Red raiders hosting the first of two regular season meetings.

-------------------- big game...we are going to start with a big play from the big man...terrance thompson...risin g up for the two hand slam....central trails by 1.... -------------------- hilltoppers gettting a good outing from their big guy....tyrell stuttley...from downtown...that will rattle home....onalaska up 18-16.... ------------------- central answers back....johnny davis to jordan davis...3 ball....red raiders go up 21-20.... --------------- let the big plays continue...sam kick....can't leave him open behind the arc....almost automatic...tied at 27.... --------------- final seconds before the half...we haven't even reached half yet...jordan davis....another 3...17 for him today...34-31 central at the break.... -------------- cool sequence here...stuttley is blocked...ball is saved from going out of bounds...back to stuttley...and he'll slam it home...2 of his 26...ona down a bucket.... ---------------- but then...then johnny davis takes over....goes off strong with the right hand...off the glass for 2..... ----------------- more from jd...gets it in the post....finds space..little jump hook in the lane....central up 8.... ---------------- back in my day...this was called the home run play....davis....lay s it in...plus the foul...game high 29 points.... ----------------- round 1 goes to central.... final... onalaska 56 central 74 we came out in this game and really needed to pull it together and be a team.

Earlier in the season we took that loss to brookfield central and we didn't do what we needed to do that game.

We have been emphasizing team chemistry this whole past couple weeks.

Just a great win to have, especially in the conference.

The other m- v-c boys game tonight has tomah hosting aquinas.

----------------- starting off... pass to jacob savoldelli... he will find an open lane and get the bucket... aquinas up 6.

----------------- on the other end of the court... mason gerke finds charlie ella who drives it in and gets the and one for the 3 point play.

----------------- now... quinn miskowski will take it down... shot misses but savoldelli will get the rebound and put it back for 2.

---------------- final... aquinas 57 tomah 50 those two girls teams also meet up tonight in tomah... aquinas enters a perfect 13-and- oh.

------------------ starting out... junior lexi donarski will make a nice pass inside to courtney becker who will get the first 2 for the bluegolds.

------------------ now check this out... megan sheidt sends it all the way down to alaina bagniefski who gets the layup.

------------------ starting off... alexa hammond will bring it down and dish it off to lexi wagner... she will get the three... good start for the red hawks.

------------------ they will not slow down... nice pass to molly schmitz whos will put it up from the baseline and extend their lead.

------------------ now look at this... macy doerr will bring it all the way down and find wide open cassie schmitz who will get the bucket.

------------------- viroqua gets on the board first as lauren brendel drill a shot from deep ----------------- but the panthers took control the rest of the way... brooke bentzen gets into the lane and hits the stop and pop ----------------- west salem jumps ahead to a 9-3 lead with this nice pass from sierra szymanski to kendall gerke for the easy score ---------------- final... viroqua 13 west salem 67 prairie du chien enters the night four-and- oh in the s-w-c.... hosting richland center who is just one game back.

----------------- early on it's pdc as makenzie knapp finds gabby ritchie as she puts it up and gets the friendly roll to put the blackhawks up early.

----------------- richland center would respond quick as kj louis gets a pass over the pdc defenders to jenna thomas as she lays it in to tie it early.

----------------- but pdc would start hitting from behind the arc as freshman lily krahn hits the three to put the blackhawks in front.

------------------ final.... richland center 42 pdc 72 tough test tonight for the onalaska co-op girls hockey team as they host number- two in the state central wisconsin storm.
