Trump Threatens Turkey's Economy If It Attacks Syrian Kurd Militia

According to Reuters, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened Turkey with economic devastation if it attacks a U.S.-allied Kurdish militia in Syria.

Relations between the United States and Turkey have long been strained by Washington’s support for the Kurdish YPG, which Turkey views as a terrorist organization.

The Turkish presidency said that Trump and President Tayyip Erdogan discussed by phone on Monday the creation of a safe zone in northern Syria cleared of militia groups.
