The 9th annual midwest players classic takes place this saturday at the la crosse center.
Another 12- plus hours of premier hoops is on tap.
Through the years the midwest players classic has seen 16 teams go on to win state championships the year they participate.
More than 30-players have gone on to play division one ncaa basketball.
And a total of four ended up being drafted in the nba.
Coordinators say between 16- and-18 players who take the floor this saturday are division one caliber athletes.
"our focus is always on finding the best teams in the coulee region to face off against the best teams from across the midwest.
This year's event is the culmination of that.
We feel like we've got the best lineup we've ever had of both quality teams and individual talent for fans here in the coulee region to check out."
