Since 2012... uw-la crosse and uw- whitewater have both either finished first or second in the wiac wrestling standings.

Their dual becoming the de-facto regular season conference championship.

The eagles hosting this season's meeting tonight... ... both teams enter undefeated in the wiac.

Uwl's jackson schoen gets the take down on way to a 6-0 decision.

---------------- uwl gets their first dual lead of the night after the 10th and final match.... 22-21 the final.

"at the beginning of the duel i figured i might have to get some bonus.

Luckily grant zamin and logan schlough stepped up.

Basically let me do what i needed to do in the match to win" it's duel, duals tonight at uw-l.

-------------- manke has a game-high 33 points leading bangor to a 85-72 victory.

And a nonconference hockey meeting between tomah/sparta and la crescent-hokah.

----------------- midway through the first period it's tomah that strikes as matthew holtz gets the rebound and he puts it by the lancer goalie giving the timberwolves a 1-0 lead.

----------------- later on its tomah again as boone mathison takes it behind the net and gets the wraparound goal.

----------------- tomah would strike with under a minute in the first on the powerplay as john christen goes end to end and goes bar down as they would get out to a three-goal lead.

------------------ tomah/sparta wins a six- nothing shutout.

Isaac fruechte is named the next offensive coordinator at uw-la crosse.

Fruechte joined the eagles coaching staff last spring... ... and was elevated to interim co- offensive coordinator the middle of the season.

That promotion gave him an opportunity to call plays for the first time.

Fruechte now tasked with building a new offensive system....which will begin with diving into the success jake landry had during his time as o-c at u-w-l.

"with coach landry's system when he was here in 2016 he did a heck of a job and led the conference in offense and i think that is something that we need to look into.

He had a great system and had a great team so we need to build off of what he did."

"we were able to get a really good young coach but also one that will probably stay and string something together here for us.

So that is the part that i'm probably most excited about.

But really did a great job with our players all year.

The guys love him and have great relationships with him, treats them the right way and totally aligned with what our program is about."
