Guatemala Joins Other Nations In Recognizing Guaido As Venezuela's President

According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, Guatemalan Foreign Minister Sandra Jovel said that Guatemala would join other nations recognizing opposition leader Juan Guaido as the interim president of Venezuela.

The recognition by U.S. ally Guatemala, the first from a Central American nation, reportedly came within hours of Guaido swearing himself in as the South American country’s president.
