US Indicts Huawei, CFO, Associates
Business Insider reports that On Monday, the US indicted Chinese tech giant Huawei and its chief financial officer Meng Wanzhou with bank and wire fraud.
The indictments are a crackdown on the company, which is legally required to assist China's Communist Party at the government's request.
The Justice Department said Huawei tricked a global bank into doing sanctions-violating business with Iran and stole trade secrets from T-Mobile.
Huawei has long stood accused of trying to hack into governments.
Experts say China's Communist Party uses companies such as Huawei to steal tech secrets in the hopes of displacing the US as the world's superpower.
