SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk, gave us a first look at the company’s Starship Raptor flight engine.????He tweeted out a couple videos of the first firing of the engine that he hopes will one day be used in interplanetary travel.
????GeekWire reports the test took place in McGregor, Texas at SpaceX’s test area.
????The site also said that SpaceX plans to make a version of the rocket that ahs 440,000 pounds of thrust.
????While CNET says Musk’s goal is to pair the Starship with a super heavy rocket that will use up to 31 Raptor engines.
????With the end goal of eventually transporting passengers to Mars.
