A person was badly injured at a Yellow Vest or “Gilets Jaunes” protest, losing their hand in a reported “grenade” explosion, as demonstrations turned violent in Paris on Saturday, February 9.
It was the thirteenth weekend of such protests.
Scuffles broke out outside the National Assembly, where the incident occurred, local reports said.
The circumstances of the incident were not immediately clear.
Stephanie Roy, a freelance reporter, said the man’s hand was ripped off by a GLI F4 grenade, a type of tear gas grenade.
