There are rumors that Rian Johnson will no longer direct the planned Star Wars trilogy.

According to Comicbook.com, Lucasfilm did not confirm the rumors that Johnson walked away from the franchise.

Johnson’s trilogy was announced before the release of “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” The trilogy was going to be completely unconnected from the main saga and have new characters.

“The Last Jedi” did great in theaters, making over $1 billion at the box office.
