‘Captain Marvel’ Estimated To See $100 Million-Plus Opening

TheWrap reports early tracking for Marvel Studios’ “Captain Marvel” projects an opening weekend of over $100 million.

Apart from “Black Panther," which made $201 million in its opening last year, 'Captain Marvel' is on track to see the highest opening for a debut superhero installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The most recent film to feature a female superhero, “Wonder Woman,” opened to $103 million in 2017.
