‘Alita: Battle Angel’ Hits Low Presidents’ Day Weekend Box Office Numbers

The Wrap reports “Alita: Battle Angel” hit number 1 at the box office on Presidents’ Day weekend!

However, the film hasn't done much to get movies out of the current box office lull.

The combined 4-day total for the industry at this time last year was $345.8 million, thanks heavily to “Black Panther." An estimated $141.3 million is expected as the total for this weekend.

This would be the lowest 4-day total for Presidents’ Day weekend since 2000.
